Pictures

I think blog focuses more on photography than anything else. ^^ Random, weird photography.

First off!

Apparently, this 'pocky' is very popular in Japan, although I have never personally tried it before. Is it any good? ^^ (I would pick chocolate over strawberry, I think. I don't sit well with berries!)

What do you think this is? Looks like cauliflowers to me, but why are they dyed green? (I've only ever seen white cauliflowers!!)

...Broccoflowers....probably a mix of broccoli and cauliflowers. XDD

How artistically blurred.....ahahaha. ^_^

Fettuccini Alfredo

A quick recipe I use to make fettuccine alfredo. ^^ Very simple and generally fuss-free...I think.

(This is just something I make at home, so it's really not stylish or anything...)

Ingredients: One bottle of alfredo sauce. (I generally use Leggo's as it's really yummy)
One packet (500g) of fettuccine.
Maybe..300g of mushrooms? The fresh ones?
One onion.
Um...salt and generally whatever you use to spice up the sauce. O.o And grated parmesan cheese. I always have that as well.

That's the alfredo ready-made sauce I always use.

I prefer fresh mushrooms, but canned mushrooms will do if we don't have any. Look, Coles! XD

I set one pot of water to boil first, then start chopping up the onions and mushrooms. It's better to chop the onions really finely, though...

When the water boils, I pour in some olive oil (to stop the fettuccine from sticking together - spaghetti doesn't do that, but fettuccine does. O.o). I then slide in the fettuccine and stick the lid back on to let it boil, and I turn the heat down so it doesn't overspill.

Maybe ten minutes later, I shake some salt in.

Meanwhile, I turn to another pot, where I'm going to heat the sauce in. I pour in olive oil, and start frying the onions. After it's gotten all fragrant (like only onions can) I dump in the mushrooms and clash them around for a bit.

Then I open the bottle of sauce and pour it all in. I rinse the inside with water and dump that in the pot, too. XD I then add more water...because I don't want the sauce to be too thick.

While letting the sauce simmer, I check the fettuccine. If it's cooked, I drain it and leave it in the pot. Usually, I leave the fettuccine and sauce separate.

When the sauce boils, I add salt and turn off the gas/heat. We can have dinner now! ^_^

This is a very rough outline of what I do when I cook fettuccine alfredo. If anyone wants me to, I can probably clean this up and put it in dot form, although it's pretty short. ^^'

See the final product?

I'm hungry~ *whine*

The photo junkie that I am wants to share the wonders that can be achieved with a camera phone.

Falling water just conveys an indescribable feeling to me. =)

The side view of a pink moss rose. I think these flowers are really pretty, because of the contrast of colours in the blossom itself. And the petals are unbelievably delicate.

The humble blossom.

Beautiful, is all I can say.

The standard rose flower. I think it's okay, but I prefer my moss roses.

I like these twin flowers! X)

A wild orchid growing on an elegant mango tree. I like this picture, because the orchid is framed by the mango leaves, and set against a half-cloudy sky, that foretells a thunderstorm.

See the beautiful deep pink against the light peach hues of this lovely moss rose.

I had to take a snapshot of this. Doesn't it look artificial? Well here's news : It's real.

A pink moss rose. It's deep centre radiates out gently, fading to a pleasant white on the outermost petals.

The light glints off gently on this one. It's almost reflective.

I snapped a few photos from the air. This is what I like to call the raging sea of clouds.

And this is the same sea, calmed down.

A beautiful sunrise.

My origami flower under negatives.

My beloved mint plant.

And this has been Vio-chan with her mediocre photography skills. =O Ta.

Meowr~!

Cat pictures, because I love cats so much! No, they're not mine, I took them off Google, but no hotlinking. To find some doggy pictures, check out my blog Rage-chan - or Google them, obviously. XD *shot*

Squished into the glass like that!! OMH, poor cat! *pity*

Aww. Cats are always cute. *huggles*

Sooo cuuute~! *grabs kitty and hugs*

Tentative beginnings

After sitting here for quite some time without much of a major reconstruction, I have decided to start Stuff of Sorts, never mind that I'm juggling three or four blogs currently as well as my studies. (So if I fail, I can blame it all on obsession with the Internet, which will probably get me banned. shot*)

But anyway, I would love it if this blog turned vibrant and happy. This blog leans more towards pictures and blogs on random odd and ends of life. Some aspects of these might include gardening, random pictures, pets, almost anything goes. ^^

So, the first up post will include a lovely Cloud Strife jigsaw which I have already blogged about in some other blogs. ^^' But still, it's a fun thing to talk about. I got this 1000 pieces Cloud Strife jigsaw from my dad, and boy, it was so much fun putting him together (although we cheated in the end and looked at the alphabets at the back of the jigsaw). He's currently reclining on my bedroom floor, although I do promise to frame and hang him up soon. ^^

He still looks gorgeous even with all that jigsaw cracks in him. ^^ Now, if only there existed real life people like him....*giggle*
